Exodus 32:11
But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God. " Lord," he said, "why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key words here in this verse: But Moses sought the Favor of the Lord his God. Moses interceded for God's people, instead of asking God to wipe out His people for worshiping a golden idol(sin), he pleads to God on their behalf, to turn from His anger and remember His promise to Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Moses prayed on behalf of God's people. As Jesus prayed on our behalf He interceded for us, He died in our place, shed His blood for my (our) sin, that we may not endure the wrath of God. Moses knew of the special relationship God had with His people went back to Abraham. And as Christians we have a special relationship with God , through Jesus Christ.

What a brave thing Moses did by questioning Gods intent to handle his anger. It shows how Godly
He was that he had a real relationship with God. He knew God on another
Level. God showed his murcy and listened to Moses. God will listen and
See us through but we must get real with him and include him in our
Lives daily.

We like Moses, must seek God's favor, and ask for his forgiveness and also intercede on the behalf of others. For all that we do and have done since the beginning of time, we don't deserve God's forgiveness or mercy. I thank God for His grace, mercy, forgiveness, love, and mostly for Jesus Christ His son.

With a lot of prayer, perhaps the Lord can save America in all her wrong-doings as He relented with the Israelites!
