This means so much to me because, in the Lord there are benefits as psalm 103 says, and today it is so important to me to pay my tenth, & my love offering to the Lord because He is protecting, His children today, it is not out of style to give to the All Mighty ,

Amazing that I never picked up on the ransom part of this before. Its also intersting that the rich and the poor paid the same amount and were treated as equals. Matthew Henry spells it out best when he says that this was done as a sign that they had surrendered their lives to God completely.
