Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
As Christians (the Body of Christ) we are in a spiritual warfare, we need to recognize the enemy. And Gods word tells us there is a dark world, and our struggle is against forces of evil. And it takes spiritual weapons to overcome the enemy, so through the word of God, we are being prepared for this spiritual battle. And as the Church, the body of Christ it is our mission, to go out into the world making disciples, teaching them everything Jesus has commanded us. As followers of Christ this is our Battle Cry/strategy for Spiritual Warfare.

Well expressed, Peter. This is truly a spiritual battle, as the enemy, Satan, is working overtime to overcome all who will follow him, as he knows his time is short. We need to battle him with the "sword of the Spirit" and the body of Christ needs to work together to overcome our enemy, with all his sneaky, deceptive tricks. Stand firm with the "shield of Faith" and the "sword of the Spirit" my brother in Christ. God bless you and yours.

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. We can see first, that there's a whole kingdom that totally surrounds us, that we can't see. In the book of 2nd Kings chapter 6, Elisha saw an army of angels surrounding him, ready and waiting for God's command to go forth and slay the enemy. Elisha's servant was quaking in his sandals, because all he could see was the huge enemy force surrounding the city. Elisha prayed for God to open his servants eyes, and God answered his prayer. So this kingdom is very organized, you can see the hierarchy: principalities, powers, and rulers. Most deliverance ministers go about removing the big guy, principality, 1st, and when they do that, they see all these weird exorcist type manifestations, resembling a carnival side show. This type of scene gives spiritual warfare a bad name. The Be In Health Principles outlined in the book, "A More Excellent Way", by Dr Henry Wright, goes the other way, likening it to pillars, holding up the roof of the building. If we knock down the supporting structure, the roof and walls automatically fall down. There are times when someone is so demonically possessed, that there can be manifestations, but that's because the person is so controlled by the demons that they don't have control over their body. This is the exception not the rule. Most Christians say that a Christian can't have a demon. But the issue isn't whether a Christian can have a demon but can a demon have a Christian. No a Christian can't be possessed, but they can certainly be oppressed. All we hafta do is listen to radio devil rather than radio God (the bible), and we'll get the thought and if we don't bring it captive to the obedience of Christ (the bible), we'll eventually act on it. A lot of people think that if they get an evil or bad thought, they've sinned. A thought unacted on isn't a sin. We just need to think about what we're thinking about. It's a constant battle. That's why I've been known to say, I know the streets of Heaven are paved with gold, but I don't care so much about that. I don't care if they're paved with 2 lane blacktop, I'll just be happy to be there where I don't hafta bring every single stinking thought captive, and always on the look out for the enemy trying to trip me up. These evil thoughts don't come from us, even though the voice sounds like our own. The enemy is very intelligent and has trained us to react certain ways. These thoughts, not brought into captivity, will cause us to react physically, usually in fear or anger. Both those emotions are good in an emergency, but to live in a constant state of either, is like pulling the bow with an arrow back and leaving it. Eventually it's gonna break and when it does, it attacks our immune system and whatever our weakest link is, is where it's attacked. God gave us His Word, our owners manual. Hosea 4 tells us, "My people perish for lack of knowledge". God won't cohabitate with our sin. To entertain these thoughts is sin. The devils job description is: kill, steal and destroy. It's not about being good enough to finally overcome this evil kingdom. It's about the authority Jesus told us we have over this kingdom. He said that in His name, we can cast out devils, lay hands on the sick and they'll recover. Thank You, Papa God for the truth of Your Word, it's the truth we know that sets us free, only if we act on it. May I always act accordingly, in Jesus name, Amen
