That time is here I believe. Everywhere you look the truth is thought to be a lie and a lie the truth. Never has it been more in your face than with people in this election. Known lies and crimes and yet it's just overlooked. It's as if it just doesn't exist. But when held up to the Word of God you see the ugliness of the situation. You see the truth of this verse. People want to hear stuff to pacify them. They don't want correction. They want to cry out they are offended. I would rather take the chance of offending someone and their soul be saved then not taking that chance and answering to God for why I didn't.

That the Word of God will be distorted and even ministers and pastors will not speak the word of truth and use it out of context to preach what people want to hear. Be careful and study the word so that you or I will not be deceived.

People now a days, when I say people I am talking abt Christian have lost their
zeal for the truth in order to keep in good standards with God they have given into lucre. Money and the love of it has taken precedence over the truth. Have they forgotten that we can't serve money and God. So they tickle the flesh with a sprinkle of the bible to keep faithful converts who tithe. These people aren't converts of Christ Jesus but of their own truth which is a lie

WOW great chapter in the NT and 2 Tim. This was an important time Paul's life and ministry. MY favorite verses and probably the most important verses of this chapter especially for Christians who want to witness to others and see souls saved is 2 Tim 4:2-3, but i'm gonna focus more so on verse 3 because we are seeing this a lot today and i believe will continue to atleast to some small extent. 1. We need to guard ourselves and our ears from false dostrine and heresy. 2. we need to preach, teach, correct, and warn those who believe in and/or teach false doctrine.3. we need to pray for those who are being sucked into heresies and pray that the Gospel will prevail and continue to reach more and more souls. 4. WE (me, you, all of us) need to study and know the real Jesus, and the real true God, and the real true and holy Word of God, and the real true holy and life saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. God bless you all and keep reading the Bible!

I think this means that people will will not listen to what the Lord has said but instead hear what they want to hear to make it work for them....to suit their needs and not God's!

This is true today. Same sex marriages,living together unmarried,this are taught in some churches today.Not to mention the worst thing anyone could believe,that Jesus is not God or he is just a god.
