2 Kings 3:11
But Jehoshaphat asked, "Is there no prophet of the Lord here, through whom we may inquire of the Lord?"An officer of the king of Israel answered, "Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah. "

Unlike Joram whose very first reaction was to blame the Lord saying "What! Has the Lord called us three kings together only to deliver us into the hands of Moabs?", the first thing Jehoshaphat did when he saw the huge problem was to ask to inquire of the Lord. That was the best thing he could do, and he did it. To inquire of the Lord during a time of trouble should be the first and foremost thing we should do in times of trouble. Why? Because after we pray to God and seek his advice and guidance, we can be certain that every action that followed will have the blessing of the Lord. Pray first shows that we have faith that God will help make the situation better, but if we act first, we show that we put our confidence in ourselves and that we can do without him.

Interesting and a good thing that Jehoshapat wanted a real prophet of the Lord, not just a bunch of fake prophets like some of the kings before him used. Perhaps, it made the difference between winning or loosing the battle.
