Again, John and all the apostles, drive home the point to love God in truth mean to believe Him and trust Him and obey Him. I love the old hymn, Trust and obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey (I think I got the words right).

Walking in love, in the love of Jesus Christ, in the love of friends and neighbours, in the love of church family - how beautiful this is! Some of his commands are harder to obey than others (for me, controlling my tongue is the hardest, thought I am conscious of it and improving), but I've found that loving one another is the one that gives me the greatest peace.
