2 Chronicles 9:8
Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne as king to rule for the Lord your God. Because of the love of your God for Israel and his desire to uphold them forever, he has made you king over them, to maintain justice and righteousness."

This is an example of what God wanted to do for Israel under the promise of the Old Covenant. As God promised the seed of Israel under the Old Testament Covenant, they would receive a tremendous blessing that the world would notice and give Glory to the Lord God of Israel. God wants to reach the nations through and obedient and blessed Israel.

The queen of Sheba recognized that Solomon's God had blessed him with great wisdom and riches too, as well as his ability to maintain justice and righteousness.

The Queen of Sheba gave praise to God when she witnessed Solomon’s wisdom and the way his kingdom was conduct. When people see us, do they see Jesus in us and give praise to God. We are made in the image and likeness of God with the purpose of reflecting on His good qualities and greatness and to glorify His name. When people see us, do they see the humility and love that comes from Jesus? Would people want to come to know Jesus because of us? and would they give praise to God because of us?

Apparently, Solomon was the wisest man ever to live, apart from Jesus, and his wealth was astounding. Now we have wealthy rulers today but they lack the wisdom and integrity of Solomon and it appears by these reports that he was not a boastful or proud man but honored God and freely gave of his wisdom to others. Some of our leaders could take example of Solomon today and all would benefit.
