2 Chronicles 28:19
The Lord had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had promoted wickedness in Judah and had been most unfaithful to the Lord.

As in verse 1, King Ahaz did not do what was right in the eyes of God. God humbled Judah because of him by allowing defeat and trouble. Even when they were unfaithful, God gave him a chance to get it right but Ahaz did not, he kept on being unfaithful and promoting wickedness in Judah. God is faithful to us but we must be faithful to Him. When we do what is wrong in God's eyes, He will send someone or something to get our attention so that we can get back on track. We must keep our spiritual eyes and ears open and attentive to what God is saying and showing us. We must also humble ourselves before God.
