2 Chronicles 21:7
Nevertheless, because of the covenant the Lord had made with David, the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David. He had promised to maintain a lamp for him and his descendants forever.

This verse here is the first warning of the danger of the house of David to fall. But no matter how the kings of Judah behaved , God was faithful to His covenant with David, and to the house of David, that his descendants would continue the line of David, that one day lead to the Coming King of the House of David, which was God's fulfilled promise to David. The coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ the Eternal King.

Great insight Peter, and so true. It is amazing how God has woven history and revelation into the Scriptures to paint the entire picture through Christ and His predecessors. Warm one here today Peter, reaching 88 at one point. Faith and blessings upon you Peter, as we see and pray our world through its turmoil. :-)

God made a covenant with David and no matter how horrible the king sitting in the chair was, He would not destroy the house of David. What love for David and the covenant He made.

When God makes a promise he will always keep it. He is their to help you. He wants to be your father, love, and give you the things you need.
