A perfect sacrifice for an imperfect people. Many times when we seek to make an exchange, we look for equality in value...what you give back to me should be just as valuable as that which I gave to you. And if it isn't that way, we feel that it was an unfair exchange. God was not looking for fairness, but reconciliation. In spite of our sin, He wanted to reconcile us back to Himself that we might live with Him throughout eternity, but by His own law, it could only be done through the shed blood of a lamb. And so He gave His best for us. Jesus paid the ransom that we might be redeemed. Thank You, Lord for loving me this way. May I never forget the price You paid for me.
