Psalms 37:7
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Listening to the news leads me to think that evil is winning but this verse reminds me to not fret! God is in control and He sees and we are to wait patiently for what is good to prevail.

Psalms 37:7
Be still before the Lord

It is sometimes difficult to see the evil that is happening around the world but the Lord sees it all, and misses nothing. They will receive retaliation from the Lord, as is frequently spoken in this Psalm. Lord, help me/us to wait for Your judgment upon the evil of our world, and help me/us to walk in righteousness that I/we may receive Your just reward. Amen

It's because the Lord is righteous. And he doesn't spend anytime rebelling or angry at people who succeed in their evil way. Because he always busy with his children. God doesn't waste his time on foolishness. Amen. Jesus.

Awesome point, Latasha. We become like what we focus on. Whether we focus bad or good people we will be like them. I choose to focus on the good.

We believers have the living and incorruptible seed that lives and abides forever. We have no need to envy or glory in fleshly trappings, which are as grass, and flowers that wither and fade. Ungodly rich men are just beasts fattened for Satan's slaughter. They HAVE TO enjoy all they have cuz that ALL the good they're gonna get; they'll be cut down like the grass and burn forever with the god they served while on this earth. Meanwhile we will flourish forever with the One True God we serve while on this earth. It's TRULY impossible to think about 2 things at the same time. I HAFTA choose every moment whether I'll think God's thoughts or the devils thoughts. There is no demilitarized zone in spiritual warfare. Each thought that comes to my mind is a fresh opportunity to choose which road it'll lead to... faith or fear. Faith cures fear. Fearful thoughts cause double mindedness. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. He becomes cross-eyed, and views things only as they seem. Faith has crystal clear optics to see things as they really are, thus bringing the peace that surpasses all understanding. True faith is actively obedient. Doing good is a great remedy for fear. There is a joy in holy activity that drives out the cancer of discontent. God kept the Israelites in the desert for 40 extra years cuz of fear and grumbling. How many years have I wasted in the back side of the desert in fear, then grumbling cuz God wasn't doing anything in my life? God first bids me to fear not, then commands me to actively trust, then, with holy desire, to delight in Him. Then I'll have His rest and contentment. Papa God let me delight in You and desire or ask for nothing but what pleases You. Then, as my will is subdued to Your will, I know I'll be truly happy. My innermost desires will be met. As I truly see things thru Your loving eyes, all this anger at seeing the evil prosper will melt into pity for them, for they're getting all the good they're gonna get. I pray for You to open their eyes and see what they're doing and repent for one day it'll be too late and they'll be burning forever and hearing the mocking of the god they served forever eternally.
