2 Chronicles 21:20
Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years. He passed away, to no one's regret, and was buried in the City of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
What a devastating story of Jehoram, the son of Jehoshaphat, who had followed the ways of the Lord so succinctly through his reign, and then to have his eldest son turn totally against the Lord, even killing his own brothers, to seek his own glory. This Scripture shows that those who try to outdo or disregard God are in for a disastrous end.

It is amazing how Jehoram went against what he has no doubt been raised to follow, as his father, and ended passing of the horrible, painful disease of his bowels, all because he became selfish and turned his back upon the Lord. Lord, help me/us to remember that You miss nothing that I/we do, and act always in righteousness according to our actions, for or against You. Amen

Terry J. from Hinsdale, NY said:
Jehoram was the son of Jehoshaphat, yet he was a wicked king. The phrase, "He passed away, to no regret" caught my eye. He was such a wicked man no one cared that he died. As a matter of fact the people were glad he was gone. What kind of legacy are we leaving behind? Are we storing up treasures in heaven or here on earth? Are we investing our time and energy in ministering to people? Will anyone even miss us when God calls us home?

Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
A kings death that nobody regretted, Jehoram who was tempted by sin and he yielded to it. No one was sorry for his death. So when we Live for Christ, and we might not be missed by someone on this earth,we as believers in Christ will be making a Grand welcoming in Heaven.

Obviously not a good king ... I can see why God punished him and died the way he did. No one liked him and for good reasons. Good riddens!
