Job 18:4
You who tear yourself to pieces in your anger,
is the earth to be abandoned for your sake?
Or must the rocks be moved from their place?

Sometimes when we are going through trials, instead of trusting God, we get a pity party going. Instead of agreeing with Job, bildad seems tired of listening to his complaints, especially since they think that he sinned anyway. Now his friends are being judgemental. We don't have to be disobedient for bad things to happen to us. The lesson here is not to cast stones . I thank God for the trials in my life. I wasn't overjoyed while going through, but I learned valuable life's lessons, and I have a great testimony today. I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God, through it all, I've learned to depend upon His Word?

Job 16:20
My intercessor is my friend
as my eyes pour out tears to God;
as my eyes pour out tears to God;

Jesus as my intercessor, sits at the right hand of God, and He's the friend that sticks closer than a brother. Regardless of what I go through, Jesus will never leave me or forsake me. He is my only Hope. I must trust Him at all times. In the end, Job is healed, restored and gets back twice as much than before. this gives me hope that God will do it for me also.

Job 10:15
If I am guilty—woe to me!
Even if I am innocent, I cannot lift my head,
for I am full of shame
and drowned in my affliction.

for I am full of shame
and drowned in my affliction.

When I'm guilty and admit it, then I can understand the chastisement, but the times when I didn't cause the affliction, that's when I start questioning God. OK God, what's this all about, what do you want me to learn through this'? I try not to be ashamed, because I know if God allowed it there's a blessing in it for me. Shame comes when pride is present, and I have to make up my mind that if God is for me it doesn't matter what man can do to me, say or think about me. I've been misunderstood so many times and apologized because someone was offended by me, and try not to drown in my afflictions, swallow shame and move on.God sees and knows my heart. This doesn't mean I don't hurt because I do. I've learned to cast all my cares on Jesus during my afflictions. From my walk with God I've learned that mourning may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Job 9:19
If it is a matter of strength, he is mighty!
And if it is a matter of justice, who can challenge him?
And if it is a matter of justice, who can challenge him?

Job acknowledges God's power and realizes that he has no choice but to accept his condition. Evethough he doesn't think he deserves what's happening to him, he also knows that God is in control, and that he should trust Him for deliverance. No matter what we go through, we have to trust God and believe that HE knows what's best for us, based on our relationship with Him and what He has done for us in the past. Amen
