Hebrews 8:6
But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.

The old covenant "is obsolete and outdated and will soon disappear" (vs 13). The new is superior and established on better promises.... for He who soever believes in Him shall not perish.... seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all these will be given to you....your belief has healed you...follow me and I will make you fishers of men.... Father, thank you for making covenant with us. Thank you for such solid loving promises. Thank you for teaching us and giving us hope beyond our own understanding. Be my strength, be my guide, be my courage, my counsellor, my healer....I love you for what you have given me. May I be overflowing in love and gratefulness, expressing joy and thus, glorifying you. Amen and Amen.

Colossians 2:15
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

First vs 9: "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form..." and then, He disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them. What a beautiful and grand picture. Although it should have seemed obvious by now that Jesus is God, somehow I continue to diminish His fullness.... even as I scoff at the apostles for not recognizing it sometimes. He IS ALL THE FULLNESS OF THE DEITY. Full God. Eloihim. Creator. All powerful. Sacred Breath. Lived for me, Lives in me, Longs and loves for me. And made a public spectacle of the enemy, defeating and shaming him. May He reign in me to defeat and shame the enemy in my life at every turn. Fill me my Lord.

Colossians 1:5
the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel

I pray that faith and love are springing up from me! With Jesus' constant daily help, I am trying to change from my naturally critical, skeptical nature to one of love, peacefulness, gentleness, self control and trying to love others enough to make their day rather than be a negative part of it. He has given me so much joy. He has shown me Himself and allowed me to see Him face to face. When I do that, it changes everything. It puts everything in the right perspective, takes away anger, fear, negative emotions. I want to stay in that place with Him forever and take others there. It recreates me. I want to live and love from that new creation and not slip back into the clouds. This will be my witness: meeting Him changes everything.

Yes, and when you get those thoughts, always remember, it's not you, it's the devil speaking to you in what sounds like your own voice. I call it radio devil. When I get those thoughts, I hafta bring them to the obedience of Christ, which is the Word made flesh. When Jesus was tempted by the devil, He used the Word, saying, "it is written", that's our example. Bring the thought captive, and kick that bad boy to the curb, then praise God for setting you free, because he whom the Son sets free is free indeed. God bless

Titus 2:3
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.

Speak only positively, lifting up those of whom I speak or not speak of them at all. Wine makes loose lips and slurs not only the speech, but the witness. I must learn to teach what is good in all my dealings.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

His word tells me that it is okay to correct, rebuke and encourage but to be careful in how I do it. With great PATIENCE and CAREFUL instruction, that is, with love as I would with someone I care deeply about but who does not know or understand that there is a problem. So I need to preach the word with gentleness. Do not break a fragile flower that has been damaged over years.
