Titus 1:16
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

I believe this whole chapter deals with the requirements of a Church leader/Elder or Pastor. but this verse to me say's beware of false teachers(pastors or elders) who proclaim they know God. I would like to take a step further with this verse and bring government officials who claim to know God, who to know His will for marriage, when Gods word says marriage is between a man and a woman, they claim that man has a right to change his/hers sexuality, they claim that its a right to abort babies, and their laws that they past in the last few months(very sad) when life of the born and unborn is precious in the eyes of the Lord. The actions of our Government is detestable. Come quickly Lord come quickly.

We can say we are Christians but if we do not also live as Christians we are nothing but full of hot air. Lord, I pray I live my life in a manner pleasing to you. I pray I do not cause others to stumble because of anything I may do or say. Let me be a light to others, to walk in your word daily. And Lord, when I do stumble I ask for forgiveness. Amen.

You will know who are true Christians by peoples actions. Not by words but by actions.

This verse speaks to me as those are hypocrites, crying out in today's churches of how we should change just for the sake of getting more people into the church. God has never changed, why should our teachings change just to accommodate certain types of people. God is not happy with how we act many times and we need to take a good look at ourselves, with myself as a good example.

Words alone do not show the love, faith and commitment to Ou Lord God. Your actions must match your words. Do not let your word be empty.

I claim to know God, but do my actions ALWAYS glorify Him? I understand there is grace and mercy for all who believe, and I need God's grace and mercy daily if not minute by minute as I go thru this life. I also need to check and see if my actions are calling for repentance, that I may be restored to fellowship with God and no longer block the light oh his glory from other believers or non-believers.

In todays world this verse is so true. Many people verbally claim to know God but their actions depict something different. They seem to know of, or about God, but do not have that relationship with Him which enable them to become intimate with Him. These detestable, disobedient, people are not fit for doing anything good therefore, the believers should be wary of them and always be armed spiritually.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY... This verse is saying they speak of GOD, but their actions are contrary to what HE has COMMANDED US to do.
