James 5:16
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

How encouraging to know that as believers we can talk to our Lord and know that He will answer us. Sometimes His answer is not always what we hope for but nevertheless He does give us an answer. Tell God all that is on your heart and talk to Him of your fears, of your temptations, dislikes, spell out to Him each and every sin. He is faithful and will help you in your weakness. God never speak to an unwilling heart.

The Bible tells us to "put on the whole armor of God." This verse lets us know that we have a powerful piece of armor in the form of prayer. And when we are faithful to obey the words of scripture, faithful to pray for one another, we will find that power and effectiveness, for God is faithful to hear and answer our prayers.

Dear Jesus, please forgive my weaknesses and shortcomings. I know I make mistakes daily. I judge people who were made in your image, I take pride in my own righteousness rather than in your righteousness; but I know you have graciously taken away my sins on the cross so that I may have peace and be viewed as righteous in God's eyes. I thank you for your love and receive your mercy and grace into my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

Unconfessed sins will ensnare you. Make a decision to confess your sins to God and pray and ask for forgiveness in Jesus' name and your sins will be washed away.
