Hebrews 9:28
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Thank you Jesus for taking all my sins upon yourself. What a price You have paid for all of us sinners. Thank you Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. My hope is to be with you Jesus when I die in body and leave this earth and live with You forever.

A key phrase here, "those who are waiting for him". Those who are waiting for Him, are those who have believed the gospel regarding Christ and made that decision to follow Him, as an example to the world. A couple of Scriptures that reveal a person's belief and commitment to Christ are found in Acts and Romans; (First) Acts 3:19  Therefore repent and convert so that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. (Second) Romans 10:8-11  But what does it say? "The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart"; that is, the Word of Faith which we proclaim; (9)  Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. (10)  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation. (11)  For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame."  A person's belief and commitment are key factors in that person entering the eternal kingdom of heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lord, may there be multitudes make that vital, eternal decision before they pass from this life. Amen

What Jesus did was the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. Through His death on the Cross he bore the sins of many, and the result of that sacrifice brought Salvation and restored a relationship with God the Father. Gods desire is that we should all be restored back to a relationship with Him and one day(soon) enjoy Eternal Life in Heaven. The best way to restore a relationship is to repent of our sin, and let Jesus into your Heart.

Wow, twice in a row, Peter, we chose the same verse and said pretty much the same thing, just that you did it more concisely than myself. Be blessed my brother in Christ as we await the revival initiated by our King's Spirit. Come Holy Spirit...!!!

Jesus died to take away our sins. He did not die multiple times for every sin committed by us, he died once for all sins; when he appears the second time it will not be to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Knowing that Jesus has died for our sins so that we could believe and be saved in/through him does not mean he died for us so that we could continue sinning but to free us of our sins so that we can be saved. And though we can be saved on our death beds by confessing our sins and asking him for forgiveness and accepting him, does not mean we should store up our sins for our death bed but believe in him and live for him and not for man so that you can be saved. We must believe in him to be saved.

To think there is no one else that can give such a gift to me, that could take away all of my sins and come back for me to recieve him through salvation. This is a huge unthinkable unselfish gift that our Lord and Savior has given each one of us is awsome. I glorify your name Lord, not only for what you have done for me but for all creation. I love you and await your return.

Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior is the mediator for us, those who believe in Him, before God the Father. He was sacrificed for our sake and his blood cleanse us of our sins. He will appear again, but this time He's not coming to bear our sins but to bring us salvation. Bless are those who eagerly awaits his return and are always keeping watch as faithful servants.

We do not have to "copy" the old rituals of forgiveness anymore. Jesus sacrificed once to take away the sins of all. and He will come again to complete salvation for believers.
