This is a warning that we should be awake and prepared for our Lord Christ Jesus to come at any time. Pray for all those who do not believe. Our God is righteous and faithful and He never changes. He is the same today and forever. Amen !

The day of the Lord will come unexpectedly but those who have paid attention and followed the ways of the Lord, Jesus Christ, will be indescribably blessed. "Mat 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of Man comes." Lord, inspire all believers in Christ to remain sharp and attentive to the truth of Your word, so that You will have reason to bless, rather than condemn us. Amen

Key words: I come like a thief! verses in Red Letters are words of Jesus Christ. This statement/verse challenges tribulation believers to stay alert. They will be Blessed if they do, knowing Jesus will return unexpectedly like a thief. His return will surprise unbelievers like a thief invading a home. I look at Paul when he wrote 1 Thessalonians 5:2 for you know very well that the Day of the Lord will come like a Thief in The Night.

Jesus says He's coming like a thief. In other words, although we know that He is coming, we will not know exactly when He's coming. As it was in the parable of the virgins, we would do well to be prepared (having our lamps full of oil) and ready for His return whenever it may be. It's my understanding that these bowl judgments will be different from the trumpet judgments in that there will be no final opportunity for repentance. Father, help me to remain in a spirit of readiness for your return--obedient, faithful, watching and praying.

Another good example of a "post-tribulation rapture". Contrary to popular belief, back in those days you KNEW when a thief in the night was coming. Of course you did not know the day nor the hour, but back then they usually traveled in gangs were loud, obnoxious, carried tourches and when you saw them coming you knew they were theives. I bring this up because it has to be in harmony with 1 Thessalonians 4:16 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first". We know it's the same topic because the dead are risgin first (i.e. the first part of the rapture). Secondly and most importantly it says that that Lord himself will decent with a SHOUT and with the trumpet of God. This, my friends is a LOT of noise! Does it sound like a theif in the night would do - make a ton of noise? Not in this day and age, but back then yes! Something to think about... let me know your thoughts! ( :

The Lord said those who stay awake in knowing that He is coming anytime anyday we must remain clothed, by reading the bible and be full of the word. In Matthew 24, those ladies some of them were full of the word some were not. those who were not full they were shamefully exposed. The Lord says He is coming very soon
