2 Samuel 6:22
I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor."

Being a Christian means that we are going to stand out from the crowd. David was devoted to the Lord, just like we should be devoted to the Lord. We should never be ashamed of showing our love, honor and praise before the Lord. It doesn't matter who is looking, or who makes fun, or doesn't like us. Our relationship with God is like no other!! It is personal and intimate. Hail Jesus Your my King!

How many times have I been so concerned about how I look, what ate people gonna think of me...how do u like me now? But here I see David stripped down to his skivvies, Dancin and praisin God with all his heart and no regard whatsoever for what anyone thought. And after an awesome mountain-top experience, the devil just HAS to send in some one to rain on our parade. It's sooooo hard to practice separation and stop and realize what just happened and either lash out in anger at that person, or look into myself and say, "yeah ur right, who DO I think I am anyway. Lord please give me a heart to see things as You see them always aware of the spiritual battle to take my eyes off You and focus on anything BUT You.

David danced like no one (But God) was watching. No wonder God called him a man after His own heart. When i grow up, i want to be like David.

Yeah, well almost. Without the sexual yukky pukkies he never got victory over. I guess we all have an area that's more difficult to yield to God than others. I can't judge any ones weakness from my strength. Thru MUCH pain and tribulation, I've gotten victory over that area, only thru realizing I had self pity and an unloving spirit that I now know that no man can EVER fill. Even God can't fill it until I recognized what it was, repented, gave it the boot, then rejoice that I could be and was truly set free. Now I'm able to help restore others who have those yukky pukkies. God has sent sooooo many women with the same issues my way. Some have been able to recognize they were bound and willing to walk out, others want to use self pity's mantra "yeah, but". I used it my whole life and was a perpetual victim. Then I learned the Be In Health principles...I am responsible for my thoughts and to be aware that they don't come from me and to bring each of them into the obedience of Christ. Does this thought line up with what God says in His word about me? If not, there's no room for it in my life. I use the Western approach and head it off at the pass. Jesus, every time the devil tempted him, said it is written. My people perish for lack of knowledge. David didn't have the manual and he did a pretty good job of keeping his heart after God. We, under the new covenant and reformation, have the owners manual. We are without excuse when the idiot light goes off, sickness, disease, depression, addiction, etc, we can pick up that users manual and find out from the creator what's wrong, or we can put a piece of duct tape over the light and keep going. But ignorance of His law is no excuse. Now I'll put my soap box away for now.
