2 Chronicles 18:31
When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, "This is the king of Israel." So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him,
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
The king who was saved, key words "Jehoshaphat who cried out to the Lord." He knows his life is in danger, and God hears his plea in his hour of need. Even though he doesn't deserve to live, he was a good king with a bad friend, God is merciful and gracious, and God delivered him safely on the day of battle. As Christians we are in a battle every day, and just like Jehoshaphat, we should turn to God and He will answer. He Will Rescue Us.

Jehoshaphat goes in wearing royal robes and they start to attach him thinking he is the king of Israel. He calls out to God and the Lord helps him. The king goes in in disguise and gets hit randomly and dies.
God works in mysterious ways but if we call out to him he will help us and show us a way to get out.

Jehoshaphat's troubles began when he joined forces with the evil king Ahab. Now he found himself the target of soldiers who mistook him for Ahab. He could have accepted this fate because he deserved it, but instead he cried out to God, who saved him. When we sin and we are faced with the consequences that follow we may be tempted to give up. We may think "I Chose to sin, it's my fault and I must accept the consequences. However that is no reason to avoid calling on God for urgent help. No matter how greatly you have sinned, you can still call upon God.
