Ezekiel 24:9
" 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: " 'Woe to the city of bloodshed!
I, too, will pile the wood high.
I, too, will pile the wood high.

In chapter 24 it is speaking of the approaching fate of Jerusalem. There will be a siege upon the city and the sign of the flesh boiling in a pot over the due shows the miseries that Jerusalem will suffer during this siege. It shall be busy because of her filthiness. In verse 9 it shows Jerusalem is like a pot boiling over the fire. There is care taken to keep a good fire under the pot by the many attacks made upon the city and the continued wrath of God burning against them.

Ezekiel 23:28
"For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am about to deliver you into the hands of those you hate, to those you turned away from in disgust.

Cheryl M. from Grandview, TX said:
God is delivering them to their enemies for their worship of idols. They turned their backs on God and they were to be true to only Him. He warned them but they did not listen. America has turned her faith from God and is embracing the enemy. God will deliver us into their hands. We no longer are faithful to Him and He has favored us always. We should heed this warning we received and turn back to God before it's too late. America's idols are money, lust, greed and many more. I may have gotten a little off track but I feel the verse works for us and our warning was 9/11 We've done nothing but turn further and further from God since then. In the initial aftermath of that tragedy we loved God and our country in a way we hadn't in a while. Since we've put God out of everything.

Ezekiel 22:26
Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

Cheryl M. from Grandview, TX said:
The holy means what is dedicated to god and profane are things in common use by the unclean. God has been dishonored by them. They made no distinction between the two. The sacrifices were only to be offered and eaten by the holy persons were made common to those that should not partake.

Ezekiel 21:27
A ruin! A ruin! I will make it a ruin! The crown will not be restored until he to whom it rightfully belongs shall come; to him I will give it.'

Cheryl M. from Grandview, TX said:
This is saying the Lord would overturn the government of Judah until the coming of Him whose right it is. This is about overturning the Jewish nation to the present day. There will be much trouble of the states abs the kingdoms which make way for the Messiahs kingdom throughout the earth. God wants ask to serve only Him and no other. But even in the mist of the tremendous warnings we can hear His mercy and the mention of Him through whom mercy is shown to sinful men.

Ezekiel 20:39
" 'As for you, people of Israel, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Go and serve your idols, every one of you! But afterward you will surely listen to me and no longer profane my holy name with your gifts and idols.

Cheryl M. from Grandview, TX said:
God is saying He would rather have them as open idolaters than thinking they can be half worshipers of God and half serving idols. It is not a commandment He is giving them by telling them to go out and serve idols but His declaration of giving up the half worshipers of God, half serving idols if they will not serve God alone then go and serve idols totally. In other words there is no partially serving God. When you bake the decision to serve Him you must serve Him only.

Fire spread from one of its main branches
and consumed its fruit.
No strong branch is left on it
fit for a ruler's scepter.'

This speaks of the end of Kings from the lineage of David. God's righteous people were to be treated right and not enslaved therfore He ended this line from David.

Ezekiel 18:27
But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.

Cheryl M. from Grandview, TX said:
Verses 27 and 28 are speaking of turning from sin and repenting. By doing so we receive forgiveness and eternal life with our Lord and savior. We must be saved so our sins are covered by the blood and forgotten. This doesn't mean that as Christians we will never sin again and when we do we must take that to God immediately asking forgiveness so we don't interrupt our spiritual journey. I love that Jesus is patient and loving and that He forgave a sinner such as I.

Ezekiel 17:22
" 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will take a shoot from the very top of a cedar and plant it; I will break off a tender sprig from its topmost shoots and plant it on a high and lofty mountain.

Cheryl M. from Grandview, TX said:
God speaks I'd the top of the cedar which is Jerusalem and he promises judgment against his kingdom. However in verse 22 He keys us know He will rebuild the kingdom He brought judgment against. He has the final word, He says, I am the Lord, I have spoken and I will do it.

God is speaking of Israel, His chosen and most beloved. She has turned on him by making alliances with Egypt and worshiping the idols they worship. His wrath will be great and they will lose His favor.
