2 Chronicles 1:12
therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have."

Since Solomon did not ask for personal wealth and favor, the Lord granted him not only the wisdom he asked for, but also mega wealth, possessions and honor as well. He was obviously not greedy, as so many are, even today. He only asked for wisdom to lead his people, and the Lord gave him all the rest. Should be a great lesson for leaders today. It shows that the Lord blesses those who bless His people. Gen 12:3  And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.

I think you nailed it Lloyd, Solomon chose to serve the people of Israel. And the Lord was very pleased in the choice that Solomon made. And that the Lord indeed kept His promise and gave Solomon, riches, honor and fame. Be Blest on this Lords Day. Any information on when Canada will lift the ban on gathering for worship?

No change at the moment regarding gathering for fellowship. Our church services are still over Zoom as well as our Wed evening Bible studies. We also have a Zoom prayer meeting on Tues evening. My prayer is that more, and even younger people would join us for the studies and prayer meetings. Blessings Peter. :-)

Praise God , we should do his will without expecting payment of any kind not wealth, or harm to others whatever we do for the Lord or others should come from the heart. Solomon had the desire to do Gods will and did so he asked the Lord for simple things unattainable things such as knowledge and wisdom. Because Solomon continued to do the Lords will the Lord blessed him not only with knowledge and wisdom but with possessions and honor as no other king had before him or will have after him.
